FITC 2026 - OPENING TITLES
This year, FITC Toronto explores the theme of rebirth. In a world moving too fast and overwhelmed by AI and shiny new tools, we want to pause, reflect, and bring back the concepts that inspired us as artists. We want to pay homage to our creative journey, appreciate the small foundational things we learned along the way, and celebrate the essence of our industry.
The approach to the music score for the titles was following the visual journey of moving through different eras and styles of design. Similarly, we begin with a film noire 50’s jazz inspired style, leading into hints of orchestral elements, and finally land into in a more modern electronic style score. The challenge was to weave them all together and create a cohesive track that keeps pushing forward.
